This policy explains what information Explore Broken Bow (“we,” “us”) collects when you use explorebrokenbow.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
Information you give us
Visitor guide newsletter and cabin updates. When you enter your email in any signup form on the site (the free visitor guide, the footer signup, the events and cabin pages), we collect your email address and which form you used. We use it to send the guide and occasional trip tips and updates, including news about cabins and new listings on the site. If you joined our cabin notify list to hear when new direct-from-owner cabins are added, we use your email only for that and the visitor guide. Newsletter email is sent through our email provider, Beehiiv, which stores your address on our behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Cabin owner form. If you submit the List Your Cabin form, we collect what you enter: your name, email, phone number, and details about your property. We use it only to follow up with you about listing your cabin.
Contact and partner forms. If you use the contact form or the partner application, we collect what you enter and use it to reply to you.
Form submissions are delivered to our inbox by email through Cloudflare’s email service. We don’t sell this information, and we don’t share it except as described here.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited. It’s designed to be privacy-friendly: it doesn’t use cookies, and it doesn’t track you across other websites. It records things like the page visited, referring site, browser type, and country.
Server logs and security. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic request information such as IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use IP addresses briefly to rate-limit form submissions.
Cabin search and booking (OwnerRez)
The cabin search on our cabins page is provided by OwnerRez, a third-party booking platform used by our property management partner. When you search dates or book a cabin, the information you enter (such as dates, guest details, and payment information) goes to OwnerRez and the property manager, not to us, and is handled under their privacy policies. We don’t see or store your payment details.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to restaurants, venues, maps, and event organizers. Their sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.
How long we keep information
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and form submissions for as long as we need them to respond or work with you, then delete them.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any email. To ask what information we have about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact us or email austin@brokenbowdirect.com.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning travel. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
